Founders Letter 

Hi my loves,

I created LaKiTa Dance because I needed a space like this and I knew I wasn't the only one. I'm a professional pole dancer. I've been in this world for 15 years.

In that time, I've seen what pole can do. It builds people up. It helps us come home to our bodies, speak without words and take up space with intention. But I've also seen how often trans people, queer folks, people in bigger bodies, people of color and anyone who doesnt fit the industry's narrow mold are made to feel like this world isn't for them.

I've been in rooms where I had to shrink to be accepted. Where queerness was tolerated but not celebrated. Where pole was stripped of its roots, its sensuality and its power.

So I created something different.

LaKiTa Dance is a space where every story and every body is not just welcome they're central. You don't have to perform here. You don't have to be anything but exactly who you are. Whether you're here to feel strong, seen, soft, sexy or simply safe, this space meets you there.

You belong here. All of you.
